I’m one of those crazy chicks that jumped into adulthood and responsibility a little too soon. Married to my husband, Alex, when I was 19, pregnant at 20, gave birth to my daughter, Adaleigh, when I was 21, bought a house at 22. And now I recently turned 23, hoping to finish my Accounting degree and try for baby #2. Yeah, I’m nuts. I would by no means, recommend anyone to follow in my footsteps, but it’s my life and I can honestly say I am okay with it. I was born and raised in Palm Harbor, FL. My high school was walking distance to the beach. I absolutely love that place and try to visit family and friends down there whenever I can. My husband is from a small town in GA, where we lived for 3.5 years until now. We now reside in Tuscaloosa, AL… home of the 2009 College Football National Champions! Roll Tide!
I wake up every day determined to live without regrets and with a smile on my face. I like to break the rules, step outside my comfort zone, and love awkward moments. I am now a stay-at-mom which is probably why I am choosing to blog again. I have way too much time on my hands and very little contact with the outside world. My social life consists of facebook, twitter, and the occasional text message convos with distant friends and family. I’m addicted my iPhone… if I could attach it to my hip, I would. Although Alex would say it already is.
Oh, and who would I be without my one and only vice… caffeine. Usually in the form of coffee, although I’ll take a coke or chocolate any day. Working at Starbucks for over a year was probably a bad idea. Iced coffee, lattes, VIA ready brew, chai tea… it’s all so good. Hmmm. In fact, I should probably go get some now…..

hey girl! I am shortsassymama from twitter and just stopping my to say HI!! You sound like me {about 7 years ago} I married my hubby at 19 and had Macy before turning 21. Your daughter is such a cutie pie! = )
Hi there! I’m Kaitlin (ahmymarriedlife on Twitter and Blogger). I just found your blog when you started following me on Twitter. We’re a lot alike in someways.
I was living with my husband (boyfriend at the time) at 19, married and bought a house at 20, and now at 21 we’re working on a baby. We’re a little backwards from you, but hey, haha.
I’m excited to start following your blog. I posted mine if you want to take a look at it.
Your daughter is gorgeous!

amazingly I have to say you sound like me… a few years back..
Heres a lil of my story…
Married my highschool sweetheart at 23… dated since I was 15. Had a kid at 20. One month before bought a house.
Now here is where I am different than you… (and it saddens me a lil bit but ill go on about that some other time)
I cheated on my husband. I left him 4 months after we were married. Divorsed finalized a lil over a year later. Fell madly in love with a man my family despised (he was black and married unhappily at the time). I bought another house and we moved in together. Age 24. Had my daughter. Age 25 he left me. Now I am 27. A single mom of 2. Struggling.. working full time.. also a Tastefully Simple Consultant on the side. Feeling like my life is chaotic on a regular basis… yet… I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be!!
I am so glad that I have met you and we have gotten to know each other on twitter… you are an amazing woman, wife and mom.
God Bless.
Hey Brittany – so I think I found you via follow friday awhile back but for some reason just took a look at your blog…I tried the whole blogging thing but it didn’t last long – I was horrible at it
Had to be consistant and like you had problems with staying positive and balancing my venting! Anyways I read a couple of the comments above and just wanted to say keep up the good work. I too was 19 when my hubby and I got married…next month (on valentines day
) we will celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary. We have 3 beautiful little girls who are 7, 5 1/2 and 3 1/2. I’ve pushed my way through both a Bachelors degree and a Master’s degree and two new houses…most importantly, while it really isn’t for everyone, like you I would not change my overachieving ways for anything
Much love to you and your family! Happy New Year!
